It’s really hard to express in words how we feel towards this event as we have truly spent months looking deep within ourselves to understand exactly what we want to do and most importantly ‘why’…
For us, the Zouk congress/ festival/ weekender market is extremely saturated right now, and there are new events popping up every week – On one hand it’s amazing to have such a wide choice, but at the same time most of them offer very similar things.
We didn’t just want to be ‘another event’ added to your calendar, so we’ve decided to go in a different direction.
Without coming across as awkward or arrogant, we authentically love and embrace ourselves, including our ‘unique’ ways, our out of the box thinking, and the energy we bring to the scene – it’s the driving force behind everything we do. It’s the reason we jump out of bed each day, the motivation that keeps us going on minimal sleep, and inspires us to give our all to the dance, regardless of the challenges.
This is who we are, and we’re extremely loud, but also extremely proud. We have so much appreciation and respect to each person who has been by our side, supporting us on this journey, and who share the same values.
Our Biggest truth right now
It’s all about self-growth. Both Pedrinho and I (Ricky) are on a new path, and we’re making it the heart and soul of our event.
We decided not to go ahead with edition 2 of the ‘Zouk Multiverse’ that we hosted last April in Madrid that had over 40 artists, 250 people and made some incredible memories. Why? Because our focus has changed a lot and we’re being called to host a much smaller event, that flows in a totally different way.Â
This year, we are capping the numbers at 125 people beautiful souls. We have hand picked 11 wonderful artists (who mean the world to us) to help create an event that we know will be life changing. I can say that with confidence.
 We need you to understand the workshops are not just going to be about new moves, routines or performance, if thats what you want, this isn’t the event for you. We have crafted a timetable that follows a journey of self growth on and off the dance floor. Of course Zouk dancing is at the core of it, but we’re coming at it from a different angle with the hope that strangers become friends and friends become family.

Pedrinho turns 30yrs young
As Pedrinho embraces the big 3-0 (Yep, he’s almost a real adult now!), expect the weekend to be a wonderland for the biggest kid at heart. The laughter will be contagious, the moments unforgettable, and the atmosphere vibrating with the spirit of celebration. ‘The Zouk Lounge’ is more than just a birthday bash; it’s a testament to the beauty of life and the joy of coming together.
Why the change of event name?
For those of you who joined us during the pandemic for our online ‘Zouk Lounges’ will remember the effort, the creativeness, the silliness and the connection that was brought to your homes and that put the Zouk lounge at the forefront of Zouk events!
It’s time to bring that feeling back, but this time, in person.
 Please join us for a weekend infused with awesome dancing, self-growth, and a sprinkle of magic dust that transforms each moment into a memory.
Talking of memories.. heres my favoruite one from the 'Zouk Multiverse'.
This was supposed to be a simple 3 min demo between Paloma and Sara after their class together.. but ended up having every artist from the event join in! The music stopped as the DJ only prepped one song… but the artist kept going, the audience kept the rhythm alive and it turned into a 16 min epic performance.
The video hit over half a million views across social platforms – I can’t wait to make many more memories like these at the Zouk Lounge.
