King Arthurs Zouk Weekend
UKDC’s main goal is to improve the UK’s Zouk scene (whilst having loads of fun!) and to put London back on the map as one of the strongest and most committed communities.
Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen a huge change in the mind-set and ability within London’s dance scene which we are super proud of to have been a part of.
We have some huge artists and courses lined up for you in 2020 including this very special one… ‘King Arthur’s Zouk Weekend’.
Arthur Santos is one of Zouk’s international jewels! His technical talent and understanding is exceptional and he is eager to share his knowledge and passion with all of you.
This weekend intensive will be over Sat & Sun and will be the first of two special courses with Arthur at UKDC – That’s right we’ve already confirmed him back for the end of October (31st-1st Nov)
The first weekend will be made up of 6 hours of intense training (3 hrs per day), followed by a Zouk Party on the Saturday night.

We will be taking bookings for ‘couples only’- Meaning you can only purchase a ticket with one follower and one leader together.
Couples will NOT be fixed in the class, but this allows us to make sure the class is 100% gender balanced.
The main focus of this weekend is to structure and understand the most important foundational techniques of the dance, to then build into more advanced movements, while connecting with every participant. It is about understanding the ‘why we do it’ more than the ‘how we do it’, and from there, open a whole new world of possibilities for both leaders and followers.
Each day will follow a progressive structure for better learning.
In order to personalise and improve the learning environment, there will be LIMITED PLACES.
Unfortunately, this event is not suitable for beginners; participants need to have at least 6 months of Brazilian Zouk experience.
Those who attend this weekend will be offered to book first for Arthurs next intensive (31st Oct -1st Nov).

From March 31st bookings are open for everyone 🙂
