On Arrival
If your first class starts at 7pm please arrive 6:45pm to be allowed into the building.
Please sign your name at the front reception on entry. This is separate from UK Dance Connexion, but it is policy which all of us have to follow to comply with security rules of the building.
Once signed in at the front reception please sign in at UK Dance Connexion reception. Please remember that any personal information we have gathered of yourself will never be used for any other purpose then keeping a data base in UK Dance Connexion and will never be shared with any third party organisation.
Food and drinks
The building offers water fountain, but you are allowed to bring drink or food into the studio.
Alcohol and drugs
No alcohol or drugs are allowed for consumption once you enter the building. Anyone who is found under the influence while attending the classes will be immediately removed from the building.
Smoking is permitted only in front of the building. In no other places smoking is allowed.
Payments
You can pay online on www.ukdc.co.uk or in person in the dance school by card or cash. You will always receive a receipt for your purchase.
There a two ways to book your courses – Either pop into to the school when we’re open and we’ll sign you up on the spot, alternatively you can pay online with your credit/debit card by clicking the gold button above.
If you are coming for a ‘drop-in class’ these are all paid on the door, so no need to book in advance!
Membership/ Events
You will have a membership with UKDC as soon as you book your course. Please note that events do not give you a membership access.
All our membership are hold with Danceplace, our website will direct you to the booking system, pease note that we use Paypal or Stripe as payment gateways we do not store any payment data.
We run on a monthly basis, you will not be able to get access to your class if you don’t renew your membership.
If you have joined in the middle of the month you will be charged for the remaining classes left of that month.
Events
The Directors of UKDC are entitled at any time and without giving reason, to:
-Require any Member already admitted to leave the premises and any such decision shall be binding and shall not be subject to any form of appeal.
-Refuse acces to any future events;
-Canceling any membership
Can I join a course in the middle of the month?
Yes, you can! But this can only be done by one of our schools reception staff, as you would be charged a smaller fee for the 1st month.
In case of absence here are no refunds and no roll over to next month for unattended classes.
Timetable and fees
Timetable is not a fixed term. UK Dance Connexion will always try to improve quality of classes. UK Dance Connexion reserves rights to change and amend timetable and fees depending on the UK Dance Connexion and students needs. We will always make sure that this information is communicated to all the students before the new month begins.
Liability cover
UK Dance Connexion is covered with Public Liability insurance.
Agreement
By enrolling into UK Dance Connexion, you confirm that you accept above written terms and conditions.
Waiver of Liability
I recognise and understand the risks of physical injury inherent to dance and dance training and I fully assume those risks. I hereby release UK Dance Connexion and their respective employees, dance teachers and assistants from all liability for injuries sustained or illnesses contracted by me while attending or participating in any private lessons, group classes, rehearsals, workshops, studio events or performances. I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UK Dance Connexion and their employees, dance teachers and assistants in relation to all liabilities, costs and judgments arising from acts or omissions committed by me which result in injury or damage to any person or property.
Protection of Property
I understand and agree that it is my sole responsibility to safeguard my personal property while attending or participating in any private lessons, group classes, rehearsals, workshops, studio events or performances. I hereby release UK Dance Connexion and their employees, dance teachers and assistants from all liability for loss or damage to my personal property while attending private lessons, group classes, rehearsals, workshops, studio events or performances. I also agree to abide by any rules, regulations and policies set forth by UK Dance Connexion and notified to me.
Medical Attention
In case of physical injury or medical emergency, I hereby authorize UK Dance Connexion to make necessary arrangements to transport me to a medical treatment facility as necessary. All such transportation and medical treatment will be at my sole cost and expense. I further state that I will pay any medical costs that may be incurred as a result of injury to me during participation or attendance in any private lessons, group classes, rehearsals, workshops, studio events or performances. In extreme emergency I understand that UK Dance Connexion will attempt to notify the person(s) I have named as my emergency contact(s) of my condition and how to reach me.
Photo Release
UK Dance Connexion reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during private lessons, group classes, rehearsals, workshops, studio events or performances, or other affiliated events for the purposes of instruction, advertising and promoting UK Dance Connexion and its programs. Students who do not wish to comply with this policy must notify UK Dance Connexion prior to participation in each class, workshop or event.
Teachers
UKDC will endeavour to provide consistency with teachers on a week to week basis for the instruction of Group & Private Lessons/Appointments. The suitability and subsequent appointment of a teacher shall be at the absolute discretion of UK Dance Connexion at all times. Should a teacher start to teach a course but fail to complete the full course of lessons, which have been paid for, this will not constitute grounds for full or part refund of fees as long as UK Dance Connexion find a suitable replacement teacher to teach the remainder of the course. Should UK Dance Connexion not be able to find a suitable replacement teacher, a credit will be offered towards the cost of a future course once a suitable teacher has been found. It remains at the absolute discretion of UK Dance Connexion to offer the alternative of a refund in such circumstances. Teachers and appointments/classes are subject to change without notice. UK Dance Connexion reserves the right to cancel classes if necessary.
Personal Agreement
You represent and warrant to UK Dance Connexion that:
(a) you are in good health and know of no medical or other reason why you cannot participate in the classes, appointments and events.
(b) any questions concerning your health and your ability to participate in the classes, appointments and events at UK Dance Connexion have been discussed with your doctor, or will be discussed with your doctor, before you participate in the said events, classes and appointments.
(c) You acknowledge to, and agree with UK Dance Connexion that:
(i) you are responsible for your own health and will inform your doctor and UK Dance Connexion if you experience any changes in your health while you participate in the classes, appointments and events; and
(ii) you are responsible for, and will, inform UK Dance Connexion of any physician-directed exercise modifications or restrictions, all prescription medications, non-prescription medications that may adversely affect your ability to participate on an ongoing basis, during the classes, appointments and events; and
(iii) neither UK Dance Connexion nor any of their employees or contractors are health care practitioners or otherwise providing a health service and, consequently, none of them can be expected to diagnose, recognise or treat individual health problems that you may experience (or have experienced) prior to, or, during your participation in the classes, appointments and events and/or whilst you are obtaining the Services.
General
UK Dance Connexion reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time without prior notification.
Refunds and remedies–services
Regretfully, we are unable to refund or credit any sessions if you change your mind about the services you asked for. Students must notify UK Dance Connexion in writing at [email protected] to cancel their membership. UK Dance Connexion takes its reputation and customer service very seriously and we appreciate any and all feedback on issues you may have experienced whilst at our studios. We always appreciate the opportunity to address any concerns you may have and remedy them.
Acknowledgement of Waiver
I acknowledge and represent that I have fully informed myself of the content of these terms and conditions including the waiver, releases and indemnities I am providing in favour of UK Dance Connexion by reading before giving my consent and agreement, and I confirm that I agree to this document as my own free act and deed; no oral representations, statements, or inducements have been made. I further state that I am at least eighteen (18) years of age and am fully competent to consent to these terms and conditions and to give the releases, waivers and indemnities contained within them; and that I execute these terms and conditions for full, adequate, and complete consideration fully intending to be bound by the same.
By attending UK Dance Connexion you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.
