What types of people are we looking for?
We are looking for friendly, fun people who are passionate about learning and spreading the love of dance. We look for organised, ambitious and team players – These things are more important to us than being an ‘advanced’ dancer.
Having a good understanding and knowledge of at least one dance form is a must, any more is a bonus – we will be offering intensive ongoing training.

We need people who can commit; our assistants will attend the school at least two evenings a week, and at least one event per month (which will be on a weekend).
We are going to invest a lot of time, effort and money into your training and offering you unlimited classes. For this reason we will only be looking to take on people who arrive on time, help when needed, have an organised diary and can commit to the school.
If you are just looking for free classes, this probably isn’t for you – Our assistants want to be part of the UKDC team because they have a huge love and passion for Zouk and growing the community. We have a huge dream to grow our school over the next few years and want a team that will grow with us.
Do I need to have expectations and aspirations to become a teacher?
Great question!
In the school we have two types of team members ‘assistants and monitors’
Assistants are those who come and help out, enjoy dancing, but don’t have aspirations of becoming a teacher in the future and are happy welcoming people, having a laugh and improving themselves as people and as dancers.
We have the next level up which are our ‘ Monitors ‘, whom strive to improve their dancing and persona in the Zouk world! They aspire and are passionate to become the future teachers on the Zouk circuit and will strive to prove themselves and take tests and study hard on their dance ability and knowledge and eventually be paid take on their own classes and make a name for themselves.
We are looking for both types of people!
Which one are you?
