Head Movement Bootcamp – Secrets to the perfect Head Movements – 23rd Sept
No matter what dance style you come from, we're giving you the chance to learn the secrets of leading and following the perfect head movements.
Head Movements have taken the partner dancing scene by storm over the last few years, with so many styles now incorporating the famous head rolls, flicks and tilts!
We can all agree that when done correctly, the look and feeling are absolutely beautiful – But, they can also be extremely dangerous if done incorrectly.

This workshop is for LEADERS & FOLLOWERS
Pedrinho Mattos (international Zouk Champion) and Linda Mattos (another incredible Zouk Champion!) will be exploring, demonstrating and teaching this rare workshop for anyone from any dance style to learn head movements correctly, safely and comfortably.
The perfect head movement should be smooth, soft, comfortable, controlled and feel like a relaxing massage (not a Thai massage!).
If you don’t learn properly from the start, there can be a huge amount of neck and back problems further down the line, which unfortunately we’ve seen over and over.
If you dance Bachata, Kizomba, West Coast Swing, Modern Jive, Salsa, Tango or any other dance, you will learn how to lead and follow head movements from scratch, so you can confidently do them in your current dance styles.
This intensive workshop will follow a progressive program and will build up beautifully.

Preparing the body
Rib cage mobility & Frame
Safety and preparation
Expanding breathing & grounding
Rhythm and coordination
Head movements with tilted turns
Combinations and styling
Times (3 jam-pack hours of workshops & a 4 hour party!)
3 – 4:30pm – Workshop
4:30 – 5pm – 30 Min Break
5 – 6:30 – Workshop
8-12am – Zouk Party
Please note – the last time we ran this bootcamp it sold out for both leaders and followers – so please book early. This particular bootcamp happens just twice a year.
